One place you might start is the Niedersachsen (aka Lower Saxony in
English) state archives. Niedersachsen covers much of what used to be
the Kingdom of Hanover in the 19th century. Their emigration records
are online (in German so use the Google web page translator) at
http://www.aidaonline.niedersachsen.de/default.htm
The search engine located there will search eight of the regional
archives. I used it quite successfully to find my HILLE family's
emigration record a couple years ago. Partial names are allowed; it
just brings back many more possibilities. I use the partial name
feature at times to find which spellings of a surname are more frequent.
Typically only the senior person of the family-group is listed in the
archives, so if your Reeka was a child or wife when she emigrated, her
name would not be listed, only that of her father or husband.
If your family was from the Osnabruck region, as mine was, there is also
a book available on the mass emigration of landless peasant farmers from
this region to the central USA in the 1830-1900 timeframe. See
http://www.venne-families.de/ for more information.

Sorry it took me so long to reply. Unfortunately, all I have on this
line is my Great Great Grandmother Fredericka (Reeka) Schroder-Siebert.
I believe she came over from Hannover, Germany and I do not have much
before that. I have all her children and the entire line from her on.
Any information you could add about siblings, etc. would be appreciated.
