Hello!
I am related to Aaron Richardson and have a bit of information on him. I am, however, very
confused about his siblings. Aaron married Olive (Olivia) Freeland but I don't know
where--she was from Ohio I blieve. The cemetery you mentioned and where Experience and
Gershom are buried is known as the Old Milan Cemetery--there are many Richardsons buried
there. About 1865, Aaron and Olive moved to Rochester, Olmsted, MN---my great-great
grandmother was with them.
Her name was Mary Olive. There was also a daughter Allis or (Alice but I have no olther
information on her. There was another daughter named Elizabeth and a son Francis. I
believe there were three or four other children who are buried in the Old Milan
Cemetery--Lucy Jane, S Maria (Seriphena)and a son Hermon but I don't have specifics on
them. I can give you a bit more information on Elizabeth and Francis if you'll e-mail
me.
Aaron died in December of 1893 ofcnsumption and is buried in the local cemetery in
Rochester. Olive continued to live in their house for a few more years and then moved to
Watertown, South Dakota to live with Mary Olive and her husband, Morris B. Warfield,
grandson Homer J., granddaughter Ella Maude (my grandmother) and Lula Warfield. She died
in either 1902 or 1903. Morris' parents were William and Sarah Warfield--and they
lived in Rochester also. I did find another ouople by the same name who lived in Ripley
County, but I haven't delved into that yet--could they have known one another in
Indiana and that's why the Warfield, Rheuben and Aaron all ended up there? Possible!
Homer's family ended up in the state of Washington. My grandmother and grandfather
(Abe Goltz)ended up in South St. Paul--Abe and Ella are buried in Mendota Heights in
Acacia Cemetery. Lulu, Mary Olive and Olive are buried in Watertown. Abe and Ella had
three children: all now deceased: Oscar-1904; Arlene,!
1908 and Jean, 1925.
Let me hear from you if you want to compare/share notes--thanks and keep at it!
