Hello to Everyone,
Looking for information on FANGMAN and REDER families of Ripley County
especially Versailles. My great grandparents were Edward Reder and Elizabeth
Mary Fangman. This was (at least) the second marriage for each of them.
Edward was married to an Anna and they had many children together. Elizabeth
had been married to a WILLIAMSON (I think his first name was Charles) and
they had 2 children at the end of their marriage. Edward and Anna REDER's
marriage ended with the death of Anna. The WILLIAMSON marriage ended in
divorce but for some reason the children (Louis and Fred?) were living with
neither of the parents but instead with their Fangman grandparents (Bernard
and Elizabeth) and then with a Fangman uncle. My grandmother Violet Ruth
Reder was born in Versailles and then the family moved to Cincinnati.
Elizabeth and Edward's marriage fell apart, I don't know if they divorced or
if they were just separated. Elizabeth stayed in Cincinnati and is buried in
Spring Grove Cemetery. I believe Edward returned to Versailles and I know
that he is buried in Cliff Hill Cemetery. Would love to hear anything about
these families.
Also could anyone help me with contact information for Ripley County
Historical Society. Thank you.
