Carolyn,
Lori, I would also like to 'THANK YOU' for all your time
& energy put into
this project.
You are welcome. Nice to know my work is appreciated!
I was just sick when someone walked off with so many of those
papers a few years back. That was mean. Did you know that the Ft. Wayne
Library also has a copy of the Toph papers? I would love to go up there & copy
them & bring them to Ripley Co. someday.
Actually, RCHS closed a long time back, and donated the Toph Papers to
Hanover College. Copies were made there, and given to Osgood library,
and Ft. Wayne library... then the Society came back into being in the
70s, I believe, and asked Hanover to give back the papers.
RCHS has the originals, so getting the copies from Ft Wayne would be a
waste of your time, but it is a nice thought on your part. :-)
I have a copy of the original marriage
records if that would help anyone....they are hard to read though unless you
would want me to transcribe them.
Are these the records that V. Toph created? I think I have most of them
online too....if I don't, and you have copies of her records, and want
to extract them into a spreadsheet for me, I would be delighted to put
them online. With you listed as the submitter naturally!
I am getting ready to go buy a home in
Florida so let me know. I had 3 generations of Cowans in that area. God
bless....Carolyn Cowan Oberle from Greenfield IN
You live not too far from me. :-) You can extract records in Florida
too. LOL
