I have a Jacob Huber born about 1841.
Someone sent me info that he was listed in the Adams Twp, Ripley Co census
in
1910 and 1920 In 1910, he was listed on page 5 and in 1920 on page 227B.
In
1920, he was listed as a widower living with daughter Margaret, age 39.
Hi, I haven't seen an answer to your question yet. I looked at the Ripley
County census records online at
Ancestry.com, but could not find the entries
you specify. I think there is something wrong with the page numbers.
In 1910 on page 5B, I did find Lawrence and Caroline Huber (ages 51 and 52).
She is listed as the mother of 8, 5 living. In the household are three sons
Frank (19), Nicholas (16), and Anthony (14).
In 1920, I searched page by page and found the "Larence and Carrie" (both age
61). Next to them is Frank with wife Barbra (born in WI) and children
Margret, James and Edith (5, 3, and 10 months).
If you are interested in these folks let me know and I can send more info
from the census. As I said, I did not find Jacob, but by your description he
is probably one generation earlier than Lawrence.

Cathy McGuire
