I have just a quick comment on this. I have found during the 1920s here in
Wisconsin and again in Indiana that the cities were growing so that the
houses were renumbered. For example one ancestor's home went from being
numbered 529 to 769. Although the street name did not change it sure looks as
though he moved two blocks.
