Al & Margaret,
I don't know if I have all the pension papers. I have a copy of his
original application where he appeared in court in Switzerland Co., IN on
18 Sep 1832 & answered the questions asked of him telling where he was
born, when & where he served, etc. He was granted his pension. Also
have his widow's (Mary Tucker) application & approval for Isaac's
pension. His nunber may have been 19378 or 18 - that was on a smaller
piece of paper saying he was inscribed on the pension rolls. I believe
Isaac's previous wives died before the pension law. I was told he was
married to a Mary Dunn & a Judith Hill. I have a copy of marriage bond
for Isaac Levy to marry a Judah Hill in Norfork Co., Va in Oct. 1792. I
have no way of knowing if this is the right Isaac Levi. I will check
Fayette Co. records as you suggest. I believe Isaac was in Ripley Co. by
1840. There is a man age 90-100 listed in the census records of his son,
Martin.
Thanks Bev & Dorothy for your inputs, too.
Diane
