Surname: Taylor, Tower
-------------------------
I am not sure, Joseph had a younger brother named John according to 1850
census, he was only 8 years old at time. I am not even for sure that my
Joseph married Sarah Tower, I am just trying to fir pieces together, he
did matty a Sarah around the time that a Joseph Taylor married a Sarah
Tower in Ripley county, not even sure that that Jospeh is my Joseph. According
to census info Sarah would have been around 23 in 1850 and it says she
was born in Maine. Joseph's parents John and Rachel were born in Delaware.
There was sister Hannah Rice and a bother Louis Smith Taylor and then my
gg-grandmother Mary Jane Dole. I have been putting this puzzle together
and so far my inastincts have been good, I have come a long way so far
but alot is guesing on my part. All I have to go by is John Taylor's will
which does not mention a son John TAylor which could mean that he had died
and if Joseph and Sarah did go on to have children it would have been natural
for them to name him John in honot of his father and his deceased brother
but since he is not name in John's will, it makes me wonder, had he died
also? I just received this will so this is all the farther I have gotten.
Let me know if any of this sounds like it could fit.
