carol,
I sent about the same note to Don as you did....Actually, I have found that
there were THREE families....went to the reunion this past summer and
concluded that I don't belong to the two families....one is the Lewis Myers
Revolutionary Soldier....cannot connect to him at all but I , as you most likely
remember, can connect to the Ewings,Slaters & Cowans so you and I do
connect....I'm not sure about this Don....haven't rec'd a response from him,
yet...

Dear ........, I have been researching Myers of Ripley Co., IN. for a long
time now. Notice the different spelling. But in the early days of America
the spelling had many variations while learning english & etc.
Can you give the "time-frame" of your early Meyers/Myers? And the
approximate location or town they were near? There were two different
families,
however, that migrated to Ripley Co. as far as I can determine. I might
be able
to give you some of the information I have in my files if you can answer
the
above questions.
Do you have any other surnames in that period? Mine married there between
1852 & 1875 to Cowan & Slater & Ewing, and some others, which I will send
later if we connect.
Respectfully, Carolyn Cowan Oberle _casu01(a)aol.com_
