Class of 1896 At Farmland Has First Reunion
All living members of the Farmland high school graduating class of
1896 held their first reunion Sunday, June 9, at the residence of Mr.
and Mrs. Clyde W. Moore, near Farmland.
Class members present were Emma Roberts (Mrs. Frank Bly), of
Converse, Ind., James M. (Matt) Watson, of Huntsville, Branson E.
Harbour, of Winchester, Clyde W. (Jerry) Moore, Farmland, and Hugh
Branson of Dayton, O. Present also were Frank Bly, Mrs. Watson (Jessie
Mason), Mrs. Harbour (Lillian Boots), Mrs. Moore (Eleanor Marting), and
Mrs. A. R. Lambert (Dorothy Branson). Class members deceased are Emma
Willey (Mrs. Fred Bartlett), Iga Duncan and Everett Hewitt.
Since this was the first class meeting since commencement 50 years
ago it was especially enjoyable. Mr. and Mrs. Moore's hospitality in
their most attractive and comfortable home and the fine June weather
added much to the pleasure of the reunion.
Mrs. Harbour displayed several interesting old photographs and James
R. (Russ) Wilson, of the class of 1894, who is postmaster at Sacramento,
Calif., also sent several old pictures, including an extremely
interesting one of the classes of 1894 and 1896.
