Hello,
This message is for anyone who has research interests in Darke County, Ohio.
It will be here before you know it! Of course, I'm talking about ListFest
2009! In one short week we will have our last chance to meet and greet so
many Darke County researchers at one time. Sure, several of us will see
each other from time to time, especially those local to the Darke Co. area
but this is different. It is many Darke County researchers with their
notebooks, laptops, scrapbooks, pictures, large boxes of wonderful things,
maps, and just about anything genealogical that you can think of. We talk,
share a carry-in lunch, talk some more and just generally have a great day
of researching and sharing. As we compare notes on our ancestors, many of
our guests have found connections with others that they had no idea of. We
have both a "library" provided by our attendees sharing their own books and
a copy machine to record any goodies found.
So if you can, please plan to come to Greenville, Ohio to the Shawnee
Prairie Preserve (on St. Rt. 502) on Oct. 3rd for the LAST ListFest. The
doors open at 10:00a.m. We are looking forward to meeting you! Just bring
a covered dish or if you are traveling far, a suitable grocery item. If you
think that you will be attending, please let me know at jane.torres(a)att.net.
