Yes, I checked the Civil War Records, that's how I came up with an Orrin
Canfield dying in Ridgeville, IN. I'm pretty sure the records are
incorrect. My Orrin Canfield is the one in the 1880 census in Shelby and in
1900 in Carlton with a new wife. Thanks for the information about the 1910
census, I'll have to take a look at it myself.

In 1910 census of Randolph CO IN there is an Owen Canfield 69 born in NY
living on 4th St. in Ridgeville. He was a boarder in the home of Samuel
(look like Curdy or Curly ). He was in the Union army, and work doing odd
job.
In the 1880 census there were an Orrin Canfield living in Shelby NY he was
39. In the 1900 NY census there were a Orrin Canfield living in Livingston ,
he was 78 , the other Orrin was 60 and lived in Carlton. Have you check out
the records for the soldiers in the Civil War. Hope this help.
