Death Of An Old Citizen
Died, of the 24th of December, 1863, of Sciatica and Paralysis, at
his residence in White River Township, Randolph county, Indiana, Thomas
Worth in the 63d year of his age. The deceased was a native of North
Carolina, and removed to Indiana in 1822, and shortly after to the farm
on which he died; making him a residence of Randolph county for nearly
forty years.
He was a warm friend to the reforms so long and ably advocated in
this part of the State by his brother Daniel, whose death was chronicled
about a year ago.
Although not a member of any religious society, he was a firm
believer of the Christian religion, did much for the support of the
Wesleyan Methodist Church, the meetings of which he generally attended,
and died with the assurance that his day's work was done. In him the
county has lost a most estimable citizen.
