Martha Jane Driver Mills is my great great grandmother. She was the daughter of John and
Abigail (Mills) Driver. She married Wilson Thompson Mills son of Morgan and Rebecca Jane
(Driver) Mills. Their son Noah Elza Mills married Luella Edwards. They lived in Stoney
Creek Township, Randolph County, Indiana. We believe Luella was the daughter of George and
Dorothy (Reynolds) Edwards and that Luella's parents lived towards Watkins. Noah Mills
was my great grandfather and his son Edward Elza Mills was my grandfather. Edward married
my grandmother Laura Otile Luedtke, moved to Canada and lived in Humboldt, Saskatchewan
where my mother LeElla Clara Anna Mills was born. She married James Elwood Metcalfe and
they lived in Unity Saskatchewan where I was born. My name is Linda Lee DeBelser, married
Keith DeBelser and had three daughters, Tracy (married to Wayne Sharp with 2 sons, Tanner
and Conner) Debbie (married to Simon Montague - 3 daughters, Ashley, Brittany and Meagan)
and Michel!
le ( married to David Harder - 2 sons, Riley and Dylan and 1 daughter Callie Rose). My
grandfather Edwards Elza Mills always told us that he was a 5th generation American. He
also told us that his mother Luella Edwards was related to the Hatfields. I have not yet
found this connection but continue to look. We also believe that the Mills in America with
the General Stites and that his name was Elijah Mills born Sept. 5, 1757 who lived in the
County of Butler. Elijah was married to Mary Bailey and was one of the first settlers at
th esite of Columbia. Do any of you have any further information on this part of the Mills
story?
