I am curious about your Jesse James who was buried in the Chattanooga, TN National
Cemetery.
Did he die during the Civil War and that is the reason he was buried there?
I have a Jonathan Redpath in the Civil War who died at the Chattanooga Hospital and was
also buried in that cemetery.
Boy, did I have a difficult time finding him due to the fact he was listed with the
incorrect first name AND last name!
I wonder if they were in the same regiment?

Researching the following families from Jackson Township, Randolph
County, IN.
1. James and Elizabeth(Blackmore) Ferrell who lived north of Union
City, IN on the state line, both died before the Civil War and are
buried in the old cemetery at New Lisbon.
2. Jesse James and Rachel Moorman James, he is buried in Chatanoga, TN
National Cemetery, she at New Pittsburg. Would like information on
Rachel's family, death certificate gives father's name as John
Moorman. At the time of her death in 1897 she was married to Peter
Norris.
3. Moses Marion Ferrell and Abigail (james) Ferrell. Is Abigail
buried at New Pittsburg?
