I have a copy of an obituary of a Clara Saxman. She died in Randolph County.
The following is the obituary as it appeared in our local newspaper, "The
Commercial Review" on Dec. 19, 1999.
Clara M. Saxman, 71, 201 McKew St., Ridgeville, died Wednesday at her residence.
She had lived in Ridgeville the past 42 years and was employed at Anchor
Glass in Winchester for 20 years before retiring.
Born Sept. 8, 1928, in Georgetown, Ky., she was the daughter of Jessie
and Florence (Jones) Wells.
She was married to Richard Saxman, who survives.
Mrs. Saxman was a member of the Ridgeville Legion Auxiliary and the Anchor
Glass Sympathy Club.
Surviving besides her husband are one son, Gary A. Saxman, Defiance, Ohio;
one daughter, Mrs. Brad (Teresa S.) Howell, Winchester, three brothers,
J.B. Wells, Lexington, Ky., and Bobby and Carl Wells, both of Georgetown,
Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Ann) Johnson, Lexington, Ky., and Rena True,
Frankfort, Ky.; a half-sister, Mrs. Bill (Wanda) Stark, Alabama; and five
grandchildren.
Services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday in MJS Mortuaries-Middleton Chapel,
Ridgeville, with Rev. Gene Hart officiating.
Burial will be in Reitenour Cemetery at Ridgeville.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 6o 8 p.m. Friday.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
