The Chamness line in Wayne & Randolph Counties goes way back to England.
This family was Quaker. Zimri Hanson, who married Isabel Chamness,
chronicled the Chamness line in America in his book "History and Genealogy
of the American Descendants of John and Ann Chamness of London, England"
published in 1922. Zimri Hanson's wife was the sister of my GGG Grandmother
Mary Chamness who married Milo Reynolds. Unfortuneately, the book is not
indexed. But, here is a website you can visit that will tie most of the
Chamness family together.

Answering the original question, the website doesn't appear to have any
Robert Chamness son of Caleb Chamness b. 1828.

There were Chamness in Economy, which is right by the Wayne/Randolph county
line. Specifically, there was a Clifford "Tip" Chamness who was an early
butter maker. I wish I could give you a date but the history isn't clear on
when this Chamness was the butter maker there.
