Hello All,
Billy Baker has now added another partial year to the already huge
numbers of obituaries from the Union City Evening Times and the Union
City Times-Gazette. This set of pages now covers from June 1934-Dec.
1941, approximately 2,375 obituaries! What a job he has done!!
Remember that this newspaper coverage reaches well into Darke County,
Ohio as well as covering much of Randolph County.
You can now do a keyword search from the Obituaries Information page:

Be inventive with your searches. For example, my dad worked at the
Backstay Welt Co. in Union City. I searched Backstay and came up with
eleven hits - often not the actual decedent but relatives of dad's
co-workers. Most were names that I remember and am interested in
knowing more about.
Now don't say this too loudly, but I've heard that this may be the end
of the line for Billy's UC obituary contributions. He told me that he
would transcribe from June 1934 (the first microfilmed newspaper)
through the end of 1941, which he has now completed. He has certainly
earned: 1) a well deserved rest from his labors; and 2) my unending
gratitude for transcribing all of these obituaries from our home town!
Thanks again Billy! Now kick back in that easy chair!!!
