Page 128 there exists a Ritenour Cemetery (west of Deerfield Section 18,
Town 21 Range 14> Location between Deerfield and Ridgeville, south side of
Mississinewa River, by the old chapel. Addition to the old one, size 90 x
120, 44 lots contained. Recorded October 13, 1865. Ritenour's Addition, 72
lots, size 80 x 242 recorded October 23, 1866,

Page 155 There existed a Ritenour's Class, Church, graveyard. Methodist
affiliation on the Mississinewa River.
Some of the members were George Ritenour, William Odle, Caleb Odle.
Mr. George Ritenour joined the Methodists when a boy, in Virginia, and he
settled on the Mississinewa before 1820. Class was held at his house and
probably elsewhere in the neighborhood, for 15 years. The log meeting house
stood till 1881. Built around 1836.
THere is a spelling of Odell, Odel, Odle, all in Randolph County,
Ritenour is also spelled Reitenour in Randolph County.
Most of the references for Ritenour come from Ward Township.
Page 333 there is reference to Mr. Odel being the father in law of George
Ritenour.
page 265 reference to William W. Ritenour being mustered out June 27, 1865 as
Sargeant Company E 84 Regiment Indiana, Randolph County, near Deerfield.
page 217 George Ritenour is listed as being on of the Justices for Ward
Township but no exact year given.
page 153 Anthony Ritenour is listed as being an early member of the class at
Deerfield, along with Caleb Odle, and William Odle. Methodist affiliation.
The class was formed about 1837.
page 112 Ritenour's had some type of mill near Deerfield. (maybe flour).
There is a James Q. Odle Company C 39th Regiment Indiana, wounded at Shiloh
TN and died June 18, 1862 22 years. (maybe a son of Frederick)??
