Hello, What a joy to find someone, who is researching the same Barnett
family I'm researching. Hiram Barrett Barnett was an older brother of my
great-grandfather, Enos Barrett Barnett. They had two other brothers,
Thomas Barrett Barnett and Barrett Barnett, also eight sisters. Hiram's
father was Thomas Barnett and his mother was Sarah Barrett. I have the
Barrett line back to the first ancestor into this country and it is
documented. I have a Bible record of the marriage of Thomas and Sarah, but
I've never been able to find a certificate or bond anyplace and I have
searched in the Northern Neck of Virginia and that part of Maryland, which
wraps around the top of Virginia. I'll be glad to share what I have with
you. Please write back and give me some idea of what you already have. I
don't want to re-invent the wheel by sending what you already have. I've
been to the cemetery, where Hiram is buried, but he has no stone. I also
don't know, where his wife died, if it was in the Washington Courthouse,
Ohio, area, or in Indiana, or on the road between the two. Barrett and his
father, Thomas, went to Randolph County via Hamilton Co., Indiana. Thomas
Barrett died in Harrison Co., Ohio, Enos Barrett died in Mercer Co., MO, and
Barrett died in Neosho Co., KS. I don't know where or when Eleanor died,
but Abigail "Abi" Barnes and Elizabeth "Betsy" Barnes are buried in
Birmingham, Iowa. Maria Worth is buried in Rush Co., Indiana; Sarah Worrell
and Harriet Cheadle are buried in Morgan County, Ohio; Hannah Kerr died in
the 1840s, but I don't have her time or place of death; Ann Worrell is
buried in Muscatine Co., Iowa. Jennie Barnett Vertrees

Hiram Barnett died in late 1850 and is buried in the Salem Cemetery near
Modoc,
Randolph Co., IN. He was married to Mary McArthur in Fayette Co, Ohio
who died before 1844. Does anyone have any info on this family?
