Message Board Post:
I looked through some old emails, and also at the Randolph IN Genweb site,
and found some notes indicating Hosea KNOX (b.c. 1796 d. 1869) who moved
from Pitt Co. NC to Indiana c. 1830 was married to Clementina "Clemma"
EVANS.
She may have married an ANDERSON prior to marrying Hosea Knox.
It appears she was born between 1801-1810 and died between 1840-1850.
From Allen Churchill's notes:
Pitt County Deed Book NN, p.
227, :
Hosea Knox of Randolph Co., Ind.; 1852. Moses Evans md. Tarley _____;
Tarley md. _____ Anderson; Hosea Knox was heir of Tarley Anderson [NN, p.
227]
Pitt County Deed Book, NN, page 227, February Term 1853, Hosea Knox of
Randolph County Indiana to Calvin Evans, Moses Evans tract and by death of
Tarley Anderson, formerly Tarley Evans, descended to Hosea Knox.
Which indicates "Tarley" and "Clementina/Clemma" may be one and the
same,
and are probably related to Calvin (possibly brother?) and Moses EVANS
(possibly Father?).
Anyone happen to have anything on these EVANS/ANDERSON?
Thanks,
