What townships or towns did they live in according to the census? That would give a clue
as to where to look as far as what Quaker Meeting she would of been a memeber of during
her married life. If he was not a Quaker at that time and she married him in a civil
marriage (since you have the date but not as a Meeting Minute of marriage this may of been
the case) then she might of been removed from the meeting in a minute (a minute is a
written part or whole of a document about a situation pertaining to Meeting business and
is an offical, legal document according to law). If she was removed from a meeting as a
member of a meeting then, and if you can find out what meeting she was a member (i.e. the
Quaker Books that many libraries have) then you can write to Tom Hamm, who is the
custodian of the Quaker Records at Earlham colledge in Richmond,IN. I will give you his
e-mail off list later off postings so that he doesn't get a bunch of spamming because
of this. Divorce is not!
common amongst Quakers even today, so if she did divorce 100 years then she would of
really been "Kicked Out" of her meeting.
Happy Thanksgiving....Andrea
