Someone wrote in reference to the Latter Day Saint's site:
" This is a shame to offer such a thing. It is hard enough looking at so
called good data. Latter day saints sight (sic) is good but it has a lot of
wrong information."
In my opinion, it doesn't need to be. I always try to remember the basic
rule in genealogy: it doesn't matter where it came from, seek verification.
Never take someone else's word. Write to the state and get the birth
records or search for a will or search the cemetery records.
Just because someone else has what you think might be true, research and
document everything for yourself and then cite your source of the
information.
