Barb, I did take photo's of all the stones still visible last spring at
Swingley/Clevenger Cemetery. The cemetery is on Swingley land but no
Swingley is buried there. The Riley's lived there before Joshua Swingley
did, James Witcome Riley would come an visit with the Swingley family often.
There are Riley's buried there but not all can be found. We can not find
any documentation on burials other than the stones that still exist. Old
Turrel and Union Cemeteries are south of Swingley's and then east. I am a
member of the Swingley family via marriage and if you feel you need to go
out there please let me know and I can escort you out there on a warmer day
then today. It is well hidden and hard to find without a guide.
I can look thought the pictures I took and can send any of them that are
Riley, Ford, Ballard or Reeds to you off list. But it will have to a few
days as they are on another hard drive that is not on this computer as of
right now. Andrea Long

Subject: [INRANDOL] Old Turrell/Union Cemetery
I have been trying to find a link between the surname
of Riley,Ford, and Ballard with my Reeds. At first I
thought they may be last names of Reed wives but now I
think at least the Riley may have been a first name
not a last name.
I know one of my Reed descendants married a FORD, in
the late 1700's. In the Old Turell/Union Cemetery or
now it may be Swingley Cemetery in Indiana I think
some of my family line may be buried???
Anyone who can help with a link would be greatly
appreciated. I am looking for anyone who has info on
Riley Reed Ford to see if he links with my Reeds who
were in Randolph County, In. in the 1840's.
Barbara
