Subject: [INRANDOL] Ground views of Old Winchester Cemetery work
The last time I saw the Old Winchester Cemetery property it was an
overgrown vacant lot with no obvious sign of ever having been a burial
ground. Out of curiosity I visited the site this past Sunday, and I the
only word I can use to describe what has been done so far is "remarkable."
I am amazed at the transformation. The grass and brush has been neatly
cut, a number of once-hidden stones (or their remains) have been
uncovered, and there is a sign for all to see that identifies the
significance of the place. I took some pictures of the on-going work.
To complement the view we've just had from space (see Andrea's message
dated Tue, 26 Jul 2005 00:32:36 -0500), I've put these views from the
ground into a small image gallery on
http://www.dnaco.net/~beeker/cemetery
I'll keep them there for a time. Take a look if you're interested.
