Hello List,
I am forwarding this for Rex, he said there are several Randolph County people mentioned
in the book. You may want to take a look at the index.
Thank you Rex!

Hello all. I have completed my latest book, "Jay Co. Newspaper Clippings,
1871-1887". This does not include all newspapers between those years. It includes
only those newspapers which have previously been microfilmed. These were the ones which
were available to me. I took any news items from them which had genealogical value, that
includes all obituaries, marriage notices, and many other tid-bits of info, such as
relatives who were visiting, folks that were ill, and much more. These are not
abbreviated versions of the items from the paper, but are the complete obituary, marriage
notice, etc., per the newspaper. The book is indexed, and I have placed the index on the
Jay Co. webpage. A link to it is located on the main page of the Jay Co. page at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~injay/ . You'll find the link under the "Research
Assistance" heading on the page, or can go directly to the index by going to
http://www.rootsweb.com/~injay/research/JayCoNewsIndex1.htm
There are 1,450 surnames in the index. I have been working on this book for some time
now, and hope to do more in the near future. The obituaries, and other news items in the
book are full of fantastic genealogical data, and I am very proud of this book. Questions
or comments should be directed to me at rex(a)digginbones.com
