Karleen;
There may also be some Rooks; Smithson's; and other's connected to my
Joseph Rooks line as some stayed there and mar. into many other names there.
in Randolph Co. Ind. Clevenger; Thornburg; Holloway; moon; etc.
Let me know if you get a link or info from someone with a book or access to
this cem. names etc.
I am sending a reply to your long awaited on E Mail to my Apr. 2004
message. I believe that the Thomas mentioned be 1783 is the bro to Joseph
be 1782 in Key or Pa. A brother name of Thomas went to Highland Co. Oh in
bat 1804/6 and mar. there to Elizabeth Jackson in 1808 but Thomas left later
and went to back to NC or Ky and we hadn't got any more on him.
Time frame and places are much in similarities to the Joseph Rooks line.

Subject: [INRANDOL] Steubenville Cemetery
Can anyone please tell me if there is an "Index of burials"
from the
Steubenville Cemetery in Randolph County, IN from its beginning (1830) or
need we be content with what stones can be read? I have already contacted
Monisa Wisner and she does not have the information. Would there be
county records? sexton records? or anything else associated with this
cemetery which would list the burials?
"Steubenville Cemetery: East side of State Road 1 at the south side of the
Mississineaua River is the old cemetery started in 1830. When the road was
straightened after the covered bridge was gone, it left the cemetery
without access."
Fortunately, it now has access and Gena and others have taken photos of
many or possibly all of the tombstones. Some are unreadable--probably the
ones I'm looking for.
I am looking for birth and burial date and places for Zebulon Cantrell
b.(1771 VA d. April 1847 in R.C. and his wife Hannah? Cantrell d. After RC
1840 Census.
Zebulon had a son, Zebulon, who died in 1881 who is also buried in the
Steubenville Cemetery. I already have his information.
Thanks,
Karleen Phillips
