About "like a candy pig..." There is a Christmas tradition of giving a
peppermint candy pig, together with a very small hammer. The recipient then
uses the small hammer to break the candy pig into edible sized pieces which
are then shared with everyone.
I know not where the tradition started, nor why, unless it is the sharing
aspect.
Anyone else?
