The original name of Trenton belonged to the Huntsville community. That's just a
little north and east of Modoc. My gg grandparents lived there and their house is still
standing.

Subject: [INRANDOL] actual name of area formerly called "Trenton" but now
known as "Modoc"?
Hello,
My great-great grandfather Capt. Jacob A. JACKSON signed up for the Civil
War (69th-Co. D) and he was "of Trenton", Randolph Co., IN. His actual
home, which I just discovered, is presently at 4914 W. 850 S. in Modoc,
Randolph Co., IN. Was Trenton the former name of Modoc? I would welcome
any help with information on this! Thank you in advance!
Regards,
Marta Jackson Vaillancourt
