Gina,
The book "Indiana Friends Heritage 1821-1996", includes some data on all
Friends Meetings of Indiana Yearly Meeting even if they are discontinued
now. It says Martindale Meetinghouse was erected in 1886 at a cost of $700
and was a preparative meeting under Cherry Grove Monthly Meeting.
Improvements were made in 1909 and in 1930. It was named for nearby
Martindale Creek. In 1956 it became a Monthly Meeting being set off from
Cherry Grove MM. Family names of early members included Baldwin, Blansett,
Coffin, Edwards, Fisher, Frazier, Hiatt, Hinshaw, Johnson, Kelly, Lamb,
Miller, Pursley, Wilson. It was laid down in 1976 and remains vacant.

Austin Cox & Jim Peacock, or anyone else who may know, <G>
Do you have any information on a Martindale Friends Church, located on the
corner
of county roads 600 South and 300 West?
I had never seen that church until yesterday when I was out taking
pictures in some cemeteries.
Any information on this church or where their records may be now???
