I know that your message is over three years old, but I was doing a search on the FISHER
name in Randolph county and caught your message. My husband's ggggg-grandmother was
Hannah FISHER, who was born in PA in 1811. I have NO idea for sure which county...rumour
has it that it was Franklin (I don't have any concrete proof of that), what I DO know
is that on 21 OCT 1830, Hannah married Henry MARTIN (b. 13 OCT 1810 in Clark, KY to John
MARTIN). I checked the 1830 Randolph census, and found two FISHERS residing there, a John
and his family and a Margaret and her family. I am betting that Hannah is related to one
or both of these families. I have been looking at Randolph and Clinton counties in IN in
later census records and noticed a Jacob FISHER who married Delilah RUBLE in Randolph in
1832. Jacob and Hannah are of an age to be siblings or at least first cousins. Wondered
if there could be a connection.
Hannah and Henry and their family moved on to Boone, IN; Hancock, IL; Butler, IA and
finally ended up settling in Osage, KS where she died 1878.
