My greatgrandmother's siblings Otto Fridolf Solberg and Anna-Maude (Anna-Emilia)
Solberg were both living in Porter County in the last years of their lives, and I was
wondering if anyone know anything about what happened to their descendants.
Otto was born in Laxarby, Sweden in 1909 and emigrated to Detroit. He died in Valparaiso
at 22/3 1986. He was married to Signe (Svensdotter or Svensson) from Laxarby. She was born
in 1902 and died in Valparaiso 3/1 1974.
Anna-Maude was born in Laxarby 1896 and married an Axel Tranberg. I'm not sure which
year she died, but she lived to a high age. She was writing small articles for the local
newspaper in her Swedish hometown, and also some American things. I found this extract
online from a periodical she had written an article for:
ANNA-MAUD TRANBERG (Mrs. Axel Tranberg) of Portage, Indiana, is a
translator and interpreter of the Swedish lore of northwestern
Indiana, active in the Lutheran Church of Chesterton - where
the last Christmas sermon in Swedish was preached in 1959 by
Pastor Myrwin Holmberg.

if anyone has any additional information about this part of the family I'd be
eternally grateful!
