Hello All,
While many of my ancestors lived in Lake County, many seem to have been
buried in Porter County. On a recent trip to the region (I live in
Texas), I went to Calvary Cemetery in Portage to visit the grave of my
Grandparents, Annette and Joseph JANICZEK. Nearby, I found the
internment sites of several other relatives, including my
Great-Grandparents. I and my fiancee spent over four hours walking the
cemetery hoping to come across more relatives. I am hoping that someone
on the list has access to a transcription of Calvary. I believe that it
can be found in one of the local libraries, something I did not discover
until after I returned home. I would be more than happy to pay some
generous volunteer for their time if they would be willing to do a
lookup/lookups.
Does anyone on the list have advice as to how I should proceed being
that I am a long way from Indiana?
In case others are searching same, surnames of relatives in Calvary are:
JANICZEK, KUSMIERCZYK, TOKARSKI, KOSINSKI, KOWALIK, MAGALA, DCZUIRA, as
well as, KUBIAK, TOMASZEWSKI and other collateral lines.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards.
