I'm not sure this will help....my grandfather Gottfried Muster was a cheese maker his
grand father,Adolph, who raised him was a balck smith in Tagelswagen,
switzerland---Gottfied's father was Samuel Muster who lived a few klicks away in
Langdau, switzerland this is all in the canton of bern.....Grandfather had cousins in
Rochester , New York who he stayed with when he first brought the "mold" over to
start swiss cheese factories---he ended up in northeastern Ohio---near Sugarcreek which is
known today for being the "Little Switzerland" of Ohio..and where the Amish (my
Grandfather would have died)are carrying on his cheese making tradition..I do not know
Adolph's father's name but in Rochester is where my Grandfather met my
grandmother's brothers and had her brought over from switzerland to keep house for
him---her last name was schweingruber.....having lived in Europe for many years I know
there are hundreds of Musters running around out there but luckily I am still in conta!
ct with all my Swiss cousins in Switzerland and France..I'm not sure if i helped you
at all but,...good luck with your expedition!!!!!!!!!!carol
