Hi Steve, according to the 1910 Census, Albert F. was on his second
marriage. I believe you located the obit for his first wife. The other Albert you
found is the son of Albert and Susie, so Sue may very well be interested in that
information as well.
Sue, I found Albert & Susie in Chicago in 1900, then Westchester twp (Porter
Co.) for 1910 and 1920.
According to the 1880 census where her family is listed as living in
Chicago, IL AND St. Louis, MO - her parents are Michael and Adeline Marso. (brother
Michael and sister Margaret too) They must have just moved to St. Louis as
Michael is listed in the St. Louis City Directory for 1881.
By 1900 Adeline and son Michael are living with her daughter in Chicago.
(Margaret Marso Ford). Adeline is listed as a widow.
The 1870 census shows the family in Chicago (indexed as Mairs, but when you
pull up the image it's clearly Marso.) They show a child, Mary, as born in
"D.C". in 1863, Susie and Michael jr born in IL.
I can't locate the family at all in 1860 DC; however, there is a Michael
Marso of the correct age and background listed as a private in the army at Ft.
Laramie in Nebraska.
