Constable Robert BRYARLY was in Indiana Harbor yesterday.
John FITZWILLIAM, Jr., and wife left today for Chicago where they will
reside.
H. J. UPTHEGROVE will operate a moving picture show in Hobart,
commencing Monday night.
The city school enumeration, just completed, shows a gain of nearly one
hundred over last year.
The funeral of the late Gottlieb SONNENBURG was held Friday afternoon
from St. Johns' Evangelical church.
Lloyd FOSTER, after an illness of five weeks from appendicitis, was
able to leave the Christian hospital Friday.
Miss Lulu MAY, the eight-year-old daughter of Clarence BUNDY died
Thursday night. The funeral was held this afternoon.
Miss Martha FRAME of this city was married in Chicago recently to D. E.
MCCRACKIN, principal of the Cranes' high school, Chicago.
Rev. and Mrs. L. W. APPLEGATE returned Friday from Logansport, where
they attended the semi-annual convention of the Episcopal church.
Mrs. E. V. ARNOLD had the misfortune to fall in her dooryard Friday in
such a manner as to cause the fracture of both bones of the left limb
below the knee.
The Providence Reading club has elected the following officers for the
ensuing year: President, Mrs. Thomas HOWARD; vice president, Mary
DEEGAN; secretary, Mrs. C. P. DALY; musical director, Miss Gertrude
HORN.
