With regard to Philinda Collins and Benjamin C. Robbins, you may want to
oder the Civil War Pension File for Benjamin. According
Ancestry.com
databases, it appears that Benjamin's wife Philinda filed a widow's pension
application on November 22, 1864. Her pension certificate was #50236.
Benjamin is shown to have served in Company G of the 3rd New Jersey Cavalry.
He enlisted as a Private on December 28, 1863. Benjamin died of disease
September 16, 1864, at Giesboro Point, District of Columbia.
You can order the complete pension file from the US National Archives and
Records Administration (NARA) for $37. These files very often include some
detailed genealogical data - including marriage information, witness
information, names of children, locations of residence, etc. Mary, who would
have been either 18 or 19 years old at the time, may have very likely been
under her mother's care as a dependent when her mother filed for the widow's
pension.
You can order online from NARA by following these steps:
1. Click on the following link:
http://www.archives.gov/research/order/orderonline.html
2. Click the "PROCEED TO ORDER ONLINE" button
3. Create an account and then click the "Made-To-Order Reproductions" button
4. Click on the "Military Service and Pension Records" link
5. Click on the "Federal Military Pension Application - Complete File" link
6. Click the small gray box that says "Add to Cart"
7. You will now be at a page where you fill in all the information you have.
It's okay to leave some spaces blank if you don't have the information.
I hope this helps you out.

I found a marriage in Porter Co, IN on 5/31/1846 between Philinda Collins
and Benjamin C. Robbins. I am wondering if this could be my gr gr gr
grandparents.
My gr gr grandmother Mary Muller's death certificate lists her parents as
Philinda ? and Benjamin C. Collins. Mary was born about Oct 1845 in IN and
died 1928 in E Rutherford, NJ. If anyone can help me make a positive ID I
would appreciate it.
