Lots west of the Foundry for sale by H. Bowen.
The Tribune received a copy of the Compendium of the Tenth Census of the
United States in two volumes with compliments of Congressman Owens.
This work is very exhaustive and thorough, and contains much useful
knowledge.
Last Sunday, a week ago, Henry Dabbart, the Hageman postmaster went as
is his usual custom down to the afternoon train to get the Chicago
paper. As he was returning, the train pulled out of the station, and
was going at a very lively rate, when out a boy came flying out of one
of the coaches like a sky-rocket. He struck Henry like a thousand of
bricks, lighting on Mr. Dabbart's left foot, as I ________ it. The
wound is a very painful one, and laid him up for some time. The boy had
jumped on the train and as is the general custom, jumped off while it
was in rapid motion. Mr. Dabbart now holds a commission to thrash every
youngster caught jumping on trains, within an inch of his life, and just
now he feels like obeying orders. Once more and for the last time we
say, keep off the cars, boys, unless you have business on them.
