John. Not related, just trying to help. In the 1880 census the family was in Minnesota,
Big Stone county, Big Stone township, Dist 4, page 36D, and was headed by Purnett Bronson,
38, a farmer, born in Conn as were both parents, and included his wife Ann E, 26, keeping
house, born in Ind and both parents in Pa, his daughter Flora B. 7, Ind and his daughter
Mary E, 4, Ind. In the 1900 census the family was living in Ind, Porter county, Center
township, Dist 83, sheet 2A, city of Valpariso, and was headed by Purnett Bronson, 57,
born Aug 1842, married 28 years, no occupation listed, born in Conn as were both parents,
and included his wife, Anna, 46, Jul 1853, married 28, mother of 4 of which 3 were still
living, born in Ind, father in NY and mother in Pa, his daughter Flora, 27, Dec 1872, a
school teacher, Ind, his daughter Mary, 24, a stenographer, Ind, and his son Ralph, 17,
Sept 1882, no occupation, Ind. As you probably know almost all of the 1890 census was
destroyed in!
a fire. I did fine him in a city directory for Valpariso in 1895 living in a boarding
house, no other family members listed. Hope this helps. Don
