Note that I am not any relation to Purnett Bronson, but I did find an
obituary for a "Purnett Brunson" that was published in The Chesterton
Tribune - Chesterton, Porter County, Indiana, on September 19, 1907 (Volume
24, Number 25, Page 5, Column 5):
Purnett Brunson, formerly of Porter but of late years a resident of
Valparaiso, died at his home Wednesday morning at 8:45. He had been a
sufferer of asthma for a number of years and has not been able to sleep in a
bed during that time. He was about 65 years old and is survived by a wife,
two daughters and one son. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. Homer Tillotson,
of this place, and was a veteran of the Civil war. The funeral will be held
at the Christian church Friday morning at 10 o'clock.
