DoraLee, I have done some research on the Baum family out of Porter County,
Indiana while I was writting a book on the Peoples family. Elizabeth A
"Eliza" Peoples married Enoch Baum, who was born in Ohio 14 April 1831 and
died 30 Jan 1895. Enoch was the son of James Baum and Rebecca Miller. They
were married in Porter County, 8 June 1856.
In 1860 through 1880 they were living in Morgan Township, Porter County,
Indiana. In 1885 they had a farm in Hubbell precinct, Thayer County,
Nebraska. Most of Eliza Peoples family had moved to this area of Thayer
County, NE and Republic County, Kansas.
If you are interested in more let me know.
