Looking for information on my great-great-grandparents Eli COTTEN and Lucinda JONES,
probably married in Porter Co on 14 Jun 1854. Son George E born in Porter Co on 28 Feb
1862. The 1850 census shows a Lucinda JONES age 17 in Jackson Twp, parents John JONES and
Maria JONES (reel 165 page 167b).
TIA, Steve

In the book "Counties of Porter and Lake Indiana", John and Marie (Duck) Jones
are mentioned in the Bio of Americus V. Noble who married Lucinda's sister Hannah.
The Jones family came from Stark County, Ohio. You can find the full bio on the Porter
Co. web site under the above book link.
