Hello everyone. I am looking for info on George Wickenden. I believe he died in May 1972 in Chesterton. He was my grandfather's brother..both coming to Canada in 1891 from England. I think George went to the area around 1924 after living in Sault Ste Marie fro a few years.....and we know nothing of him since. Looking in particular for names of descendents.
Thanks...Gord Wickenden, Brockville, Ontario gordwick(a)recorder.ca

I am looking for descendants of my Great Great Uncle Robert MacIntosh Irwin and his daughter Roberta Irwin Halberg. It is believed that they lived in the Valparaiso area. Robert was the third of seven children of James W. and Annie Clark Irwin, and was born in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania on 12/18/1876. His daughter's married name was Halberg. Other siblings of Robert's were John Alexander Irwin, Clara Catheran, James "LEE", Sarah Belle, Thomas "CLARK", and my Great Grandfather George Reed. Anyone knowing of any of my family members associated with the above names, please contact me at ddklgray(a)pennswoods.net or call 814-723-5110. Thank you.
Can someone please help me....that is in the Hebron area.
I was given the name - Mary Libak - in Hebron Indiana as being related to my
ancestors who came from the Slovak republic.
I wrote her a letter........included a self-address stamped envelope - No
reply..........so I looked up a phone number for her and called many many
times......no answer and no answering maching. Today I tried calling again
and now I get the message that the number is disconnected.
I'm thinking that maybe she was a widow...and has either died or moved on
to the home of a child or to a nursing home.
I phoned the local Catholic church in Hebron and they didn't recognize the
name.
She's not in the SSDI.
If there is someone in Hebron I'd appreciate whatever you could do there to
track this lady down. Maybe I'm just beating my head against a wall..
I didn't find a Byzantine Catholic church listed in that town (just guessing
that maybe that would be her religiion - don't know it for sure).
If there is only one mortuary in Hebron maybe they'd know if they've done
work for that family or maybe there are indexes to local
cemeteries..........
Can someone come to my aid? Thanx so much.

Me, Too!! Nancy POISEL married John Fletcher Verden Shultz. This
is the only information that I have concerning Poisel, as I just
obtained the Poisel surname this past week. John Shultz and at least
some of his children were in the Medaryville area, the 3rd gr.
grandfather that I'm tracking (Valentine Shultz) was born in
Medaryville in 1858. A fellow researcher and I are tracking this line
and have a LOT of searching to do, based on new information that we
located in at the Pulaski County Library last week. If you're
interested in trading information on this Poisel-Shultz link, please
contact me off-list (since we're now out of Porter county and into
Pulaski county!!!).

I am looking for information on a couple who were married in Porter Co. on 3/11/1855. Their names were Hiram W. Mathews and Ruth Ann/Anna Warner. I think she also may have died there on 2/8/1856 and is buried in Union Street Old City Cemetery. Hiram is our mystery man in our family. We have a copy of their marriage license, but can not prove he is our guy. We would like to know more about Ruth A. Mathews also. How she died?/ Who is her husband?? The family rumor is that our Hiram was married a first time in about 1855 and when she died in childbirth he came west to Ks. in 1857 where he remarried. (our line) But we can not find anything on him or his family. These two items (marriage license and Ruth's grave may be a link if I can obtain information on her or him through this. Can anyone help? You can contact me at TRPIPER(a)aol.com Thanks so much. This guy was my mother-in-laws great grandfather. She is 88 and I sure would love to solve this for her before she passes on. S!
he would be tickled. Thanks

The bride was lovely in a gown of white satin with tulle veil attached and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and sweet peas.

Am looking for any information on the family of Elizabeth QUINN, born about 1875 in Wheeler, Indiana. Died about 1910 probably in Audubon, Iowa. Don't know who her parents were--would like to find out. Married Jasper Benjamin NORTHUP who was born March 18, 1873 in Tecumsah, Johnson County, Nebraska. Their children were: Edna, born about 1895; Elsie, born about 1900, Roy, born around 1900, & George, born 2/2/00, or 2/2/02. Don't know the birth dates but all were born in late 1800s and early 1900s. The children were born in Audubon, Iowa. George, was husbands father. Have a lot of information on the NORTHUPS, but none on Elizabeth QUINN. She died when my husband's father was 10 years old. Any help on siblings or parents would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mae Colwell Northup.
