Surname: SABINSKE, HACKER, LUNAU, AFFELD
-------------------------
The Richard Sabinske, mentioned in the first message of this thread, is
the son of Albert Carl SABINSKE and Antonette AFFELD. Richard was born
26 Nov 1881 in Germany and immigrated with his parents in 1882, arriving
in Baltimore on 19 Nov 1882. Although his parents moved to Lake County,
Richard lived most of his adult life in Porter County, and is buried in
the Chesterton Cemetery with other members of the Sabinske family.
Herman Edward Sabinske, of the second message, was an uncle to Richard
C. Sabinske. Both Herman Edward and Albert Carl Sabinske were children
of August Frederick Sabinsky (c. 1821-1898) and Carolina LUNAU (1830-1918).
I am also a descendant of August Frederick Sabinsky and Carolina Lunau,
via their daughter, Friedaricka Carolina Sabinke and her husband, Frederick
William Carl HACKER. Fred and Friedaricka left Porter County about 1905,
and moved to Michigan.
I would like to coorespond with others about the Sabinske and Hacker families.
