Paul,
I copied the information word for word from the page I had copied from the
book at the library. The page was titled "My Ideas Of The Richard Traylor
Family" It lists 9 children: Elizabeth, Catherine, Ann, Hariot, Polly,
Spartan, Peggy, Mary Bush and "1 F under 5 in 1830". The pages gives
information similar to what I had copied on Spartan for each of the
children. I do not remember the name of the book, but believe it was just
listed as The Traylor Family. I copied the pages on family members who
married into the Stout and Hays families as I am working on these. There was
also info on the Twitty Family and Russell Family in the same book. The name
Mary Bush Trayler who married a Woolsey Pride caught my eye as I am looking
for info on a Pride marriage where a granddaughter was named Mary Bush Miley.
I live in Pike County about 22 miles from Jasper in Dubois County. I do go
there for research once in a while. I know the Traylor, Hays, Stout and many
other families were on both sides of the county line between Pike and
Dubois. Part of that reason was due to Dubois being part of Pike until 1817
as well as the location of communities and churches. For some of the Pike
County families it was closer to go to Jasper than to Petersburg and many
marriages of Pike Co. families can be found there.
If you want the info on the other children on the Richard Traylor page let
me know.
I will be glad to get you copies of info from the book next week when I go
to Jasper if you want. I can also check on the author and title to see if
you can contact the person directly.
Sandy
