I checked the family records I had on this family. This is what I found. I
have not rechecked the info to see if there are errors so take it for that:
"Spartan Traylor was born August 10, 1811 in Georgia. He was probably
married before 1838 as his daughter Aurelia was born July 1, 1838. He
married Mary Adams in 1840 (I got her maiden name from the death record of
their son John R. Traylor). Most everyone agrees that Spartan was the son of
Richard, and he signed hor his share in his Aunt Mary Aikmans estate.
Spartan died April 6, 1891 and is buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery in
Petersburg."
I picked this info up in a family book on the Traylor Family from the Jasper
Library, Jasper, Dubois Co., IN.
Hope it helps,
Sandy McBeth
