For those of you who have been asking about the Pike county newspapers on
microfilm:
Individual reels of film are available for purchase for $15.00 from Indiana
Newspaper Project, Indiana Historical Society, 315 W. Ohio Street,
Indianapolis, IN 46202.
All films are available through interlibrary loan from the Indiana State
Library, Newspaper Section, 140 N. Senate Av., Indianapolis, In 46204.
If you are lucky enough to get to Barrett Menorial Library in Petersburg, IN
they have an index card file where obits, death notices, births & marriage
license issue have been abstracted by newspaper, date of issue and page
number from 1874 through 1940. (I have found a few that were missed, but it
is a great reference)
