Help Needed!
I'm searching for information on Revolutionary War Veterans who died and/or lived in
Pike County, IN.
This is the list I have so far:
William M. Wright
Sebastian Frederock, Jr.
John Hays
Sebastian Frederick, Sr.
John Chambers
Henry Marrick
Josiah Arnold
Robert Johnson
John Coonrod
John Palmer
John McManus
Samuel Dedman
Phillip "Scratch" Catt
William M. Black
James Brenton
Thomas Meade
According to notes made by Ruth Miley McClellan in Pike County History, Bicentennial
Edition, 1776-1976 there were two additional known Revolutionary War veterans who had
lived and possibly died in Pike County. They were Isaac Fisher and John McClary. No other
additional information has been found on these two men at this time.
The DAR Chapter in Pike County will be celebrating their 100th year this fall. I am
working on a booklet to help commerate this occasion. The booklet will be sold at a price
to cover the cost of printing. So the price will depend on how much information is
obtained.
I am looking for historical information on these men and any others who have a connection
to Pike County. Information will include but is not limited to: service records, five
generation charts, family stories, place of burial, location lived, occupation, etc.
I already have some good information on James Brenton thanks to Radine Weedon.
Any help would be appreciated.
