Hello Sandy. Thanks for responding. All of my ancestors and their families
in Pike County were in fact Presbyterian or Methodist - though I'm not sure
about the Miley's. The reason I was looking for the actual records
themselves is because there are many families that so many of the same first
names, that sometimes i can't tell which cousins are whose children! (for
instance, the Miley families) It would also be great to see who sponsored
baptisms, as that could lead to further family connections. The histories
could be helpful though, if one of my ancestors were mentioned as a member.
I know many of the McNabbs attended Cumberland Presbyterian and a Methodist
Church that doesn't exist, or has changed its name since Patrick McNabb's
obituaries were written. Many of my other Pike County families though, I
have no clue where they attended.

I know that the records for the Catholic Church in Petersburg were
microfilmed. I read the microfilm at Willard Library in Evansville a few
years ago and printed out the pages as most of my family went there. I
almost sure there were several others there as well.
There are several church histories at the public library in Petersburg.
Many of the histories give named of deacons, ministers, board members and
sometimes lists of early members.
According to the Pike Co Research Guide these histories are in the library:
