Hello! I have obtained copies of several original land patents, plus the
Pike County Atlas from... ooh, i forget, I think around 1880, which has a
map showing where my Patrick McNabb's farm was and the dwelling on it. Does
anyone have any suggestions on how I can read this stuff to find the true
current day locations of all of these places? I would LOVE to see if the
McNabb house is still standing, or even if it's falling down, or even a pile
of rubble! I also have a list of some deeds sold by McNabbs in Pike County,
but once again, can't understand exactly how to pinpoint modern locations by
looking at them. Thank you for your time and consideration.
